Tasks

Work a rotation of shifts as specified by your supervisor.
Perform subterranean jobs safely, according to training center requirements.
Report any possible difficulties that might impede the work flow.
Inspect equipment and supplies to ensure they meet business requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and adhere to housekeeping standards
Follow all health and safety standards when conducting jobs underground.
Support additional operational responsibilities given by the supervisor.
Conform to MHSA safety standards and Gold One’s safety philosophy: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.”

Qualifications

Grade 11 certificate or equivalent ABET Level
MQA Competency B Certificate
Ability to communicate clearly in English
Fluency in any of the 11 South African official languages
Written and verbal communication proficiency
Must be declared medically fit by the Occupational Health Centre

Experience

No prior work experience required
Must be able to operate in underground mining settings
Ability to adjust swiftly in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
Must be able to operate well under pressure and fulfill deadlines.
Pays close attention to detail, particularly in terms of health and safety requirements.
A clear criminal record is mandatory
