Tasks
As a Security Officer at iMVULA, your duties will include:
- Conducting frequent patrols of designated locations to dissuade unwanted access and monitor compliance with safety regulations
- Monitoring activity and detecting possible hazards by using surveillance systems like CCTV and alarm controls.
- Responding to emergency circumstances, including fire alarms, unlawful intrusions, and medical crises.
- Reporting security events in thorough logs and working with law enforcement as needed.
- De-escalating conflicts and handling disturbances professionally and calmly
- Providing basic first aid and CPR support in emergency situations
- Keeping proper records of security inspections, events, and everyday operations.
Qualifications
To be considered for the iMVULA Cleaning & Security jobs, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Matric certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- Valid Security Guard Certification (PSIRA registered preferred)
- Basic First Aid Certification – essential
- CPR Certification – required
- Fire Safety Training Certification – advantageous
Experience
While entry-level individuals are welcome to apply, those with the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or public safety jobs.
- Experience working with surveillance and alarm systems
- Familiarity with handling emergency response protocols
