Training Modules Include:
- Drone regulations and airspace laws
- Flight planning and drone safety protocols
- Remote Pilot Licence (RPL) preparation
- Hands-on flight simulations and field practice
- An overview of the gathering and interpretation of drone data (GIS, imaging, etc.)
Responsibilities Include:
- Help with drone setup and safe use. Learn how to schedule and monitor drone missions.
- Assist in taking aerial pictures and films for different projects.
- Assistance with basic maintenance, battery charging, and equipment inspections
- Assist with downloading and organizing data and drone footage.
- To obtain a Remote Pilot License (RPL), participate in training sessions.
- Collaborate closely with the drone crew and heed superiors’ directions.
Who Should Apply?
- Age: 18+
- Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination. Interest in technology, photography, or aviation
- Willing to work night shift
- No criminal record (important for future SACAA licensing)
- Basic English reading and writing abilities are essential for passing theoretical assessments.
- Willingness to complete training and licensing (SACAA RPL- Remote Pilot Licence)
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
