POSITION: SENIOR GRANTS ADMINISTRATORS (LEVEL 07)
SALARY: R325 101 – R382 959 p.a. Exclusive of benefits
LOCATION: Thabong Local Office (Ref No: SAS FS 0854/25)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should have a Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) approved by SAQA in the relevant discipline, combined with three years of experience in Grants Administration.
Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence are required.
DUTIES:
- The incumbent will verify grant applications (approved).
- Oversee the quality of the administration of social handouts.
- Grant Administrators assist Grant Administrators on grant-related rules and practices, as well as manage workers at the Local Office level.
- Check the completeness of documents and supporting documents; verify applications and perform means testing.
- Accept or reject applications.
- Process additional grant documentation.
- Perform other grant value chain functions.
- Responsibilities include overseeing social grant administration, advising on policies and processes.
- Managing staff performance and resources.
- Ensuring compliance with Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PMFA, Chapter 6, Part 3).

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
The candidate must demonstrate a thorough awareness of applicable law, policy, procedure, standards, and norms pertaining to the Social Assistance Grant application process (the complete grants value chain).
