POST 06/93: CLEANER

SALARY: R131 265 per annum
CENTRE: Calitzdorp Clinic, Oudtshoorn and Kannaland Sub-districts

Physical able to lift and/or move heavy objects and supplies.
Capable of operating gear and equipment used in household and clinic cleaning services.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Effective interpersonal and written communication abilities.
Knowledge of proper refuse/waste management and disposal methods, as well as compliance with rules and cleaning procedures.
Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
Familiarity with the Department of Health and Wellness’s cleaning-related laws and rules.

General cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance (i.e dust/sweep/ polish/ scrub/ mop/ clean windows/ walls/equipment/machinery and refuse removal).
Ensure effective Waste management, Linen Management etc.
Cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored effectively and efficiently.
Assist co-workers and the supervisor as much as possible with general housekeeping tasks and services.
Maintain a generally safe and hygienic atmosphere by following the rules and guidelines.
