Minimum Requirements for Traffic Officer Learnerships

To be considered for the Traffic Officer Learnerships, applicants must meet the following qualifications and criteria:

Education: Grade 12 or equivalent
Qualification: Traffic Diploma
Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant traffic enforcement experience
Driver’s License: Valid Code EB or higher
Competency: Firearm competency certificate per the Firearms Control Act
Fitness: Must be physically and medically fit for Traffic Officer duties
Language: Proficiency in at least two official languages, with English being mandatory
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy
Criminal Record: Applicants should have no criminal record
Working Hours: Flexible hours, including emergencies

Traffic Officer Job Responsibilities

As a Traffic Officer, you will help maintain traffic flow and public safety in the municipality. Key duties include:
